ABOUT ME

hello there!

My name is Akil. I was born in India and grew up in Singapore until the age of 10 when I moved to the United States. I went to school on the East Coast and then came to California for medical school and residency -- fell in love with the San Francisco Bay area and have been here ever since!

I'm a family physician with a strong interest in holistic medicine. I hope to eventually have an integrative practice. I'm also interested in business and entrepreneurship.

But I think much more important than what you do, is who you are being -- and where you are, whether you're in a place of love and completeness, or in a place of fear and dissatisfaction.

I'm a simple, fun-loving person who likes to appreciate the beauty of every moment. I like to get to know like- minded people and I'm curious about life. I like to spend time in silence and reflection regularly, and I enjoy fun activities that make me lose track of time.

I try to stay balanced and experience everything that life has to offer. I believe in spontaneity and taking adventures! I've been blessed with great friends and family and a wonderful life so far!
