About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To live purposely, passionately, and presently – making the most of every day as if it were the last day.

ABOUT ME

I’m a 22 year-old post undergraduate kid from Nuevo México. It’s really hard to describe Burque until you come and visit. Breaking Bad, which is often filmed in my hood, is a pretty accurate representation of my hometown. A few things I will always love about New Mexico include the food (incredible amounts of green and red chile smothered on every meal imaginable), stumble-upon breweries in the most industrial parts of town, snow + luminarias + piñon, infinitely vast blue skies, and the endless landscape frees you from the city at any given point in time.

I also immensely enjoy architecture (it's what I do), coffee, craft beer, early morning runs, bikes, and eating bloodless fare.

I recently graduated and so I spend my time working at a small design firm and for the Air Force Research Laboratories. These jobs, especially the later, require that I engage myself in lots of rock climbing, camping, adventures, and explorations. For right now, I'm at a point between seasons, and I try to make the most of each and every day.

PHILOSOPHY

"Quien cuenta con tan buen amigo, algo bueno tendrá." -una buena amiga

Live each day as though it were you're last. You never know how long you have on this earth, so make the most of every moment, enjoy people, enjoy travel, enjoy life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with Couch Surfers while traveling in Europe and I've hosted a few friends traveling the States. If I'm not able to host, I try and at least go out for drinks or grab a bite to eat when I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A buddy and I traveled Europe together this summer. We were in Switzerland and had plans to backpack across part of the Alps, until he starting having these crazy pains and found out it was kidney stones. We ended up in the E.R. the day before our epic adventure was scheduled to embark (Thank God for Swiss healthcare). He was released from the E.R. that same day, but we had no place to stay, no hostels in the area, and no couches to sleep on. With no other options, we thought "what the heck. Let's go through with this!" We hopped on a train towards the Alps and set up a campsite THAT NIGHT!!! Thankfully he felt a lot better in about 24 hours after the stones had left his kidney. We were able to do the entire hike as planned!! It was an epic beginning to an epic trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been told I can cook one helluva breakfast burrito. I have basic skills in rock climbing and mountaineering. I enjoying sharing my love of the outdoors with people. With enough notice, I can teach you how to brew beer too! To be completely honest with you, I'm a Christian and I love Jesus. I hope to share Christ's love with you as we talk, drink, eat, travel, and experience life together.
