About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Fill in the blanks and explore continents that my family has never been to

ABOUT ME

Awkward to write about yourself, it's never true or honest, or it is bizarrely forward. I love learning, and engaging people with opposing interests to my own. I hate those who do not respect those with backgrounds different from their own; I feel that is the sign of a true traveler. I believe that my curiosity will lead me to the future that I would want for myself, even though right now I'm still not sure what it is.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never had a couch-surfing experience, but I love visiting my friends in far-away countries. I find that experiencing a culture through the eyes of a local is the most "eye-opening" experience you can have (pun intended). I can't wait to get on a plane, and I love sitting and observing people from various places interacting at an airport, they never seem to enjoy the now, they are constantly looking into the future for some odd reason.

Interests

I love learning about the things that drive other people, no matter what they are; I think it's amazing how when you focus on something long enough, no matter what it is, it turns out to be absolutely fascinating. I love engineering (as I'm an engineer), but that stems from a larger goal of learning about anything and everything. I have to admit I might ask too many questions in a new environment, but I love to adapt and be kept on my toes when it comes to new situations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen and done can come down to various aspects, but one of the first that comes into my mind was my goal to sleep on top of a mountain. When I did it at the age of 20, I thought to myself that there is nothing else I want to achieve. That quickly changed, directly because of that experience; I want to be the first in my family to see all seven continents (I'm 2 ahead of anyone else right now) and South American and Asian cultures have left me absolutely shocked; I wish there were two more continents just to spice things up even more ;). Finally, I think my trip into nature has always been an incredible one. John Muir said "every time that I travel into nature, I learn something new about myself." I never knew what that meant until I experienced it staying in Yellowstone for a week.
