About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live in the present moment! BE!

ABOUT ME

Very friendly, happy go lucky, fun to be around, loves to dance, loves to sing really badly, doesn´t mind looking silly, trustworthy, easy to talk to, empathetic, humourous, always up for an adventure and something new, loves good food and trying different dishes, loves to find out about new artists and music, traveller and hippy at heart. I work as a teacher in a school with children with special needs and training to be a yoga therapist for our special children :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I am learning to just be in the NOW so I can get the most out of life. I think there is no point in doing something if you aren't going to do it to your best! So I'm trying to live by that moto. And of course YOLO, You Only Live Once. I am trying to make sure that I spend my time and money on things that MATTER. Conscious living.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started CS when I went away for nearly 8 months around Latin America and I've had a really great experience so far with the couches I've stayed with. Also I have been dishing out and getting advice about the places I have travelled.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One word: Incredible!

Up to now my hosts have been so lovely! An absolute pleasure to hang out with and once I have my own place I will definitely lend a spare room to carry on the generousness of couchsurfing community!

Interests

Yoga!
Enjoying my time with the people I love, my one and only: friends and family!
Going out to clubs and dancing till I can´t anymore.
Going to music and comedy concerts.
Learning Spanish.
Travelling whenever I have a holiday and the money- going to volunteer with children and enjoying the nature and sites.
Going to watch the best European team play with my Dad and sisters, Chelsea of course! :-)
Taking my Uncle George who has a learning disability out and about most weekends, mainly to the FARm! As he loves it! But also to anywhere with animals (zoo, tropical zoos, safari parks), parks, swimming, theatre, shows- the lot! We are always searching for different places to take him.
Going to shows or the theatre, especially when it´s a special event.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Here is me becoming deep now!

🔶Climbing up to the top of Mount Sinai in the night time, sleeping at the top in just a sleeping bag and watching the sun rise over the mountains. It was an incredile experience that left me lost for words, I felt blessed to be there. Nature at it´s most vunerable but so bold and strong. What is more important than the sun lighting the land?

🔶When I watched the Parolympian swimming team compete in the Olympics. That day I was in awe of their strength, not only outer stregth obviously but inner drive, to not letting their ´disability´ define who they were. In my eyes they have no ´disability´, they are a true inspiration to people around the world.

I am lucky to have done and achieved so many amazing things in my life including:

Trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal (one of the most incredible experiences of my life!)

Raising money for a school in Nepal

Trekking to the Lost City in Columbia through the jungle, sleeping in hammocks and washing in waterfalls

Seeing real red hot lava in Nicaragua on Volcan Telica

Trekking up an active volcano with an ice pick and crampons!

Meeting a sloth in Costa Rica

Seeing dolphins in the wild on a boat crossing from Panama to Columbia

Learning how to dance Salsa in Columbia

Completing a few silent meditation retreats- if you think the rest is brave try this!
