About Me
ABOUT ME
I am fun, friendly, polite (except I sometimes swear for emphasis), happy go lucky, loving, kind, caring, understanding, down to earth, conscious, thoughtful, relaxed and alert—(both at the same time!), positive, open and honest. That’s just my good side of course ;)
I can be quiet, reserved, spacey/airy-fairy, clumsy, suborn, sad, anxious, vulnerable- emotional! But it’s only human to feel those things and go through those motions. It is also rare that a person sees that side of me (I usually sense when I need space and time on my own). I strive to be my authentic self at all times, and part of that is respecting myself and the way I feel while always being respectful towards others. I consider my parents to have raised me to practice good etiquette. :)
I am always trying to improve myself, monitor my process, reflect and keep a balanced lifestyle (which is not always easy! Especially when traveling).
It’s super easy for me to appreciate the finer things such as nature and the wonderful beauty that is the human race! I love the diversity of cultures, customs and lifestyles from all parts of the world.
Born and raised in Melbourne Australia, I traveled, worked and lived in various states throughout Australia (all but Western Australia!-on the bucket list). I love the wide open roads and the peace and calm of being away from the hustle and bustle of the city life. I like camping ️ living off the grid, farm life, forest, mountains, rivers, waterfalls, beaches! My favourite things! I feel most at peace and grounded when surrounded by any of those things. ️🏝🏔
On the flip side I loooove city life! I love to party and mingle and dance, sing and have a laugh with good people! I love to go out to see and listen to live music (something I do regularly in Melbourne), I love the exchange of energy between the stage and the audience. The universal language of music is the best thing for the soul and must have saved mine a dozen times!
Back home I usually meet friends at my local bar which hosts live world music every night of the week! My community of friends are very outgoing, musical and creative and I tend to surround myself with these types of people as they inspire me to do the same.
In my profession, I work in a residential environment for vulnerable, at risk youth with challenging behaviors and complex-trauma. It’s very interesting, fun and challenging work, sometimes stressful and dangerous but mostly enjoyable.
I get fulfillment from working hard at something and seeing the rewards; it teaches me and helps me grow as a person. I’ve cultivated so much compassion and understanding for others and myself through my work. I am grateful for what I have experienced and for what I can offer humanity and appreciate all the things it can offer me too!
I also make excellent coffee and have many years experience in the hospitality industry.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music- rock and roll, funk, soul, jazz, indie, folk, punk, reggae, electronic, world music and everything in between.
I love lots of movies, particularly art house and comedy films. Favourite directors are Jim Jarmusch, Quinton Tarantino, Wes Anderson, Steven Spielberg, The Cohen Brothers and Tim Burton.
I love to read but I don’t read enough! I’ve read quite a few books about self development over the last few years and love the classic novels like One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (also a great film), favourite authors include Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and Jane Austin.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’ve lived and worked in central Australia (Alice Springs) with indigenous people and learned about their ancient culture and lifestyle. Some of the most beautiful people I have ever met!
