About Me
ABOUT ME
I think some would say I look a bit cold at first, let's say five to ten minutes, simply because I don't know the people in front of me, but then I become very friendly and a person people can count on.
I love going out, especially at night since everything is slightly different. I used to do it every day when I was in Paris (I needed fresh air for I was living in a small maid's room), purposeless walking, or sometimes going to the movies, a restaurant, or simply meeting friends and having a long chat!
PHILOSOPHY
"La vie humaine est une rosée passagère" (proverbe japonais)
"Nihil mirari, nihil lacrimari, sed intelligere" (Spinoza)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Good experiences so far. I'd like to give people what they gave me, but for the time being, it's impossible. When I have my own place, I'll definitely do it!
Interests
Quite a lot! I'm fond of classical music but also electronic; I've being practising ballet for years though I stopped for some time. Apart from this I love art and used to spend evenings at the Louvre when I was a student in Paris, I enjoy reading, walking, learning foreign languages and improving the ones I already know. Of course I'm deeply interested in traveling, may it be in France or around the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
I can't make a choice! Still I appreciate French films (old ones usually) as well as Japanese, British and some American films.
I love classical music a lot but can't make a choice. Rock music is part of my life anyway: The Smashing Pumpkins,Placebo,Indochine, the Beatles, the Kinks, Queen, A Perfect Circle, Pink Floyd, Mecano, Sigur Ros...). I also listen to some electronic tunes: Ryuichi Sakamoto, Aspidistrafly, Muxu, Flica, Cheekbone)and neoclassical music with Ludovico Einaudi, Peter Broderick, Max Richter...
I read a lot of classical French literature, not really contemporary novels as I don't really like the way things are written. I also enjoy Japanese, Anglo-Saxon and Spanish literature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had the great opportunity to travel through Japan and was really struck by Japanese politeness although I knew about it (I was studying Japanese at that time) but still had not experienced it. People try their best to be polite all the time and I think it's something we should steal from them as when I walk anywhere in France, I see people lack basic politeness.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm qualified as a French teacher. Apart from that I can also teach English, but rather British English.
