Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies, and I like anything that has realistic people in it. My favorite movies are by Wong Kar Wai and Katsuhito Ishii. I also like Yasujiro Ozu, Werner Herzog, Ridley Scott, Francois Ozon, Mahmut Coskun.

I like Ian Mcewan and Kazuo Ishiguro. I used to reread Charles Dickens compulsively as a kid. I like reading non-fiction like journals and biographies. I really like stories about explorers and nature, because I'm mostly a city person.

I like Magma, Vangelis, Michael Hurley, Talking Heads, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, 20th century classical music, bossa nova.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best thing to teach me is a recipe. It absolutely doesn't have to be fancy.

I have some interest in folk songs from around the world too. If you know of any good ones, I'd like to hear them.

I'm in possession of kefir cultures that have been passed down, through space and time, from the Soviet Union. If you want more lactobacilli in your life, come stay with me.
