ABOUT ME

Hi!

I'm Ben. I'm 22 and a recent escapee/graduate of a BFA Acting program in the American tundra, i.e. Minnesota. Don't know where Minnesota is? It's a seven hour north drive of Chicago. It's COLD.

I'm originally from Baltimore, Maryland, on the East Coast of the USA, though I have roots in California, where I was born.

PHILOSOPHY

Part of why I love being an actor is because it's like being an astronaut of the soul: finding out what makes a human a human. So I like meeting other humans, and hearing what they have to say about that.

Why would I want to travel any other way? Through couchsurfing, I've explored parts of the world that I would never have gotten to experience without the awesome hosts I've been lucky enough to meet.

Walking through the Holyrood hills outside Edinburgh, Scotland, in a light drizzle with the wind whipping through my hair. Hiking on the cliffs of Cinque Terre on the west coast of Italy. Reading Proust.

My head contains a fair bit of information about theatre. I love food, cooking, and eating. I ran and lived in an independent arts collective, so I have lots of thoughts about the arts and artists and art industries.
