ABOUT ME

I love music and dancing (salsa and contra are my long term love affairs), meeting people and being inspired by other travelers. I am open-minded and love sharing deep conversations with anyone who wants to talk. I love animals, nature and scuba diving. Anything involving adventure and spontanaeity is right up my alley.

PHILOSOPHY

Always know where your towel is. -from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. If something seems impossible, just start trying for it and the way will open for you.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've shared my couch or extra bed many times in college with travelers in need. Also, I smile and wave at people whenever possible. I think that's participating in the spirit of Couchsurfing even when I can't host. I've only couchsurfed occasionally, but am planning to couch surf Japan someday soon (hopefully).

I'm always amazed by the generosity of CS hosts when I stay with them or ask them for advice, and I want to pass it on.

Everything in life is amazing! I've watched a million lightningbugs come out from the trees at dusk and float over the riverbank after I spent a perfect day swimming in a river in Virginia.

I would love to trade language skills, I only know English fluently, and I'm willing to help others who don't speak English well. I want to learn more about any and every language. I can teach violin lessons, classical or fiddle style, and I love to share the music and history and culture of Appalachia. I can teach beginning salsa dancing -the basic steps anyway.

I'm always interested in learning new skills and trying new things.
