About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Figure what God wants and do it.

ABOUT ME

I just hopped off the plane from India and am about to drive across the country to live in Portland OR. I am a minimalist out of lazyness. I am a christian out of conviction. I will talk about food all day long and I am constantly on the prowl for new skills.

PHILOSOPHY

Speak the truth in love. I have been given so that I might give to others, I want to laugh until my face hurts. I want to always choose the better story in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted a number of folks with my old roommate and love to show around my town and make friends. I hope to get more into the community when I set down a residence.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love putting my couch up for grabs in fact, I stopped sleeping on a bed and put it in the living room for any vagabond or guest who needed a place to stay. I have had internationals for the better part of a week and strangers hang their hat only for a night. My space is there to share at all times. I believe it is the right thing to do. We must "love our neighbors."

Interests

I like: hula hooping, improv comedy, playing harmonica, running, hiking, biking, painting, writing, cooking, eating, working with teenagers, making dandelion wine, and meeting strangers

Music, Movies, and Books

They Might Be Giants, Dostoyevsky, Douglas Adams, Polka Dot Dot Dot, Jordan O Jordan, Tarvis.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a month in India at an HIV/AIDS medical campus. No one spoken English there. The only thing they knew about my culture was WWF wreastling. When we were tired of speaking, we would play fight. All of these tiny women in sarees and me.

Teach, Learn, Share

Voraciously studying God, cooking real Indian food, stretching a canvas, giving a painless injection, fermenting yogurt, cartwheels.
