2013-2017:
Lived a nomadic life for 4 years. Carried a guitar with me while traveling. Got a Ph.D. on hitchhiking and music busking. I started backpacking in Southeast Asia and found it hard to stop. I ended up moving further and further and making my home everywhere in the world, from Asia to Europe and to North America and Latin America. The road is the best thing I've found to place my restless and youthful soul. I travel spontaneously and follow my heart and instinct. I like to travel slowly so to get to know a place very well by learning the language, culture and making friends.

2018 summer-2020:
I'm traveling and working online. I work with Chinese companies as an English teacher, also as IELTS and TOEFL trainer and project manager of children's books and music production. So yeah, I don't travel with my guitar anymore. I travel with my laptop now. HA HA! Feel very grown-up!

2019 autumn - now:
Studied Montessori pedagogy in Munich, Germany.
Now working as a Montessori teacher in Munich.
HAPPILY SETTLED DOWN.
Still hop on the road with a small backpack whenever I've got holidays. The world is a never-closed play ground for me! I never get tired of exploring it. ❤️

I have a pretty bright, cheering, passionate and empathetic personality, and a heart of a child, loving singing, dancing, and playing games.

I also have an analyzing mind. My brain likes to analyze behavior patterns, psychological roots, cultural influences, and mind mechanism, linguistics, geography, etc. Some topics like how a linguistic connection tells about human migration throughout history etc intrigue me immensely! Extremely curious, a certain level of rationality. Sometimes I can turn any conversation into an academical debate. 😅

As for my spiritual life:
I was born in a Taoist family in China. My grandpa is a Taichi and Qigong practitioner and I spent my whole childhood with this amazing man. Taoism has always been in my blood and my favorite WAY of thinking and viewing the world. The most famous Taoist mountain Wu Dang / Wu-Tang ( where Taichi was created ) locates right at the outskirt of my city !!!! I also have some influence from Buddhism and Christianity. I take all of the good things from every religion and build on my own spiritual life. Religions should unite people instead of dividing us.

PHILOSOPHY
I see a human life as a weaving, interwoven with destiny, human will, and choices. The meanings of life are self-actualization, to love and to be happy.

I believe in energy, Qi, connection, the law of attraction, the power of positivity. I believe " believing is seeing ". What you believe and your energy level will actually shape the world you are experiencing. Thoughts create reality. "What's essential is always invisible to the eyes"(--The Little Prince).

And ....
Nothing is quite as satisfying as pore stripping and black head removing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing changed my style of traveling. I looooooove it so much. CS is like a home to me. Thanks to CS, I never feel lonely wherever I travel to. It is just so magical that I can just walk into a normal local life like that and be a part of it. Because of CS, traveling now is not check-in and check-out hostels anymore. Each experience that I have made with hosts is all unique and memorable.

I enjoy hosting too. I like the idea that I can spread the love and hospitality to travelers and do the same thing in return. I don't like that people are bounded by money. I hosted people at my home in Bangkok and Llandovery. I haven't got chances of hosting people anymore as I have been traveling the whole time in the past few years. I would love to have CSers in my hometown Xiangyang in China. But unfortunately, it's not a touristic destination and nobody ever comes :( I would be ready to host once I got myself a new home somewhere.

And all 80s/90s Hong Kong golden age films, especially Kungfu comedies.

Favorite TV shows are: Mind Hunter, Black Mirror, South Park and Peppa Pig.

Music: My music soul is pretty old. Love those oldies and goldies, folkies and rockies ! and any music that I can dance to: Greek traditional, bluegrass barn dance, country, swing, big band, Latino, reggaeton, salsa, etc. There are only few things I hate in this world and electronic music is one of them. So please don’t take me to an electron club :)

Books: Greek Mythology( I'm obsessed with it! ), Genius on the left madness on the right, Paranormality, all of Allan De Botton's.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Hitchhiking around Europe by myself in the year of 2015.

2. Learned guitar with YouTube and people I meet on the road.

3. Traveling the world with my guitar.

4. I can play guitar and sing songs in multiple languages, so far, including, English, Chinese, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, Portuguese( only Nossa Nossa, :)

5. Shot AK47 in Texas.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Life experience, philosophies and the best-pizza-in-the-world recipe shared by a couchsurfer from Germany that I met in Mexico :) yes, a pizza recipe from a German! No kidding! I had a pizza competition in my host’s kitchen in Belize with an Italian CSer, who of course looked down upon my “ German recipe”. And guess what? I won :-)

By traveling to lots of places and couchsurfing with lots of people, I collected many great recipes from people all over the world :) One more big reason that I love about Couchsurfing.

I would be more than happy to share them and cook for you. I think I can do pretty decent Chinese stirred fried, pizza, Greek meatballs, Greek Tzatziki, Japanese Sushi, Korean bibimbap, Thai Tom Yum Soup, etc.

My travelling stories. I have lots of stories to tell. Some of them are quite interesting and dramatic. And my music, of course.
