About Me

New to CS (so far it's been an absolute dream) while I travel the United States after living in Brooklyn, NY for the last year and a half, sitting behind various computer screens and plotting my escape. Before that, it was 6 years in Washington, DC and a childhood spent in the midwest (Des Moines, Iowa, if you're familiar with the land of apple pie and baseball).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As drive from New York back to my family's home in the midwest (and then onto the big, wide world!) I'd love to have some company from fellow travelers and the like-minded along the way. Any couch space is basically just the icing on top of the conversation cake, as I've found that half the fun of traveling alone is making great new friends.

Interests

Music, writing, conversation, reading, travel, progressive politics, yoga, hiking, learning about new ideas / cultures / philosophies / you name it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I recently drove a freight train while on holiday in New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to help with any digital or marketing projects you've got, or lend a hand with copyediting, writing, or basic design work. Admittedly a terrible cook, I do have some family recipes that I'll do my best to share. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always up for a chat -- whether it's contemplating the meaning of life or discussing the latest Netflix phenomenon, I'll hold court into the wee hours any day of the week. But more than anything, I just love to compare music and travel notes with new friends.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand
