About Me

I am a dreamer, an optimist, a nature lover, a photographer, a writer, a reader, a musician, a traveler; a sister, a daughter, a friend. I live for the spontaneity, interconnection, randomness, and excitement of life. I appreciate good beer and fine organic wine. I love people, places, and pre-owned things. I care for the Earth in any way that I can, because this little rock is my home and it's a dang beautiful one.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some of the best times of my life have involved either being shown around by locals or being the local showing people around. I love meeting new people! I live for exchanging cultures and stories and laughs. I love sharing life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I jive to sounds of all sorts. If something resonates with me in a positive way, then I'm most likely going to like it. I love discovering new artists! NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts is awesome for that.

Movies
independent films
documentaries that can somehow purvey a message without reeking of an agenda
anything that can really make me cry
anything that can really make me laugh
most things that can really make me think
if it can make me cry, laugh, and think, then it's probably one of my favorites

Books
I just read 'The Man Who Had Everything' by Louis Bromfield and it's really one of the only books I have on my mind right now, so that one
short stories by Ray Bradbury
non-fiction
fiction
poetry

I basically love it all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a sustainable-living student co-op for a year with 7 beautiful roommates and became the person that I am today because of it. I also made the decision to not eat meat from non-sustainable and unkind practices.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn anything that you are willing to teach me! Languages, culture, how to dance a certain way, how to knit a sweater, how to grow certain vegetables, how to play an instrument. I love learning and sharing knowledge.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach people how to speak beautiful English, a little bit about medicinal food/herbs and sustainability, what it's like to live in a co-op style living situation, my singing voice and a little bit of harmonica styling, and laughs.
