About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I started couchsurfing while I was a Peace Corps Volunteer, stationed in Diourbel, Senegal. My town had very few "toubabs" (Westerners), so I welcomed visitors and sought friendship with fellow world-travelers.
I've been back in the states since Aug 2012 and am now welcoming visitors in my chosen hometown of Charlottesville, VA. I've always loved traveling and appreciate the opportunity to travel "on the cheap", so couchsurfing really appeals to me. At the moment, I'm living in house that is conveniently located to many of my towns attractions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live walking distance to Charlottesville's downtown mall and am just a block from the Amtrak station and the free trolley that runs from the University to the Downtown Mall. Other bus routes are also available at that bus stop.
