ABOUT ME
I enjoy cultural shock. A day without culture shock when I am traveling, is a day wasted. There is always something new to discover in a foreign land.
I was a student exchange in Germany in 2005. I stayed with a German family and went to a German school. Since then, I have been seeking for the experience and feelings that I had when I was in Germany, I want to eat, see, dance, walk, etc like a local. I want to be a part of the local.
I hosted exchange students from France and Belgium. Through hosting, I learn more about my country and myself.
I miss missing home when I am away. I was in Australia for a year and England for three years. I enjoyed sharing my stories about my country and culture when I am in a foreign land.
I enjoyed humanitarian work. I teach the refugees children at UNHCR when I am free.
PHILOSOPHY
When I travel,I want to live like a local.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to this! But I think it is similar as being an exchange student once and hosted students before. Those were my younger days.
Now, I can continue what I like doing with CS!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I came to know about Couchsurf through, Shane, a new found friend whom I met through an event and this seem like a prefect thing that I have been looking for since my student exchange years!
Shane hosted a couchsurfer and invited me to meet them for dinner. I must say, it was truly enjoyable! I can't wait to host one myself. It reminded me of the days I hosted students exchange from France and Belgium.
