ABOUT ME

I found a home for awhile. I fell back into my old-college-town in Ashland, WI. I'm teaching a little at the local colleges and enjoying life in my small town. (I don't like the winters too much though.)

PHILOSOPHY

I'm very socially conscious; I support the workers of the world. It annoys some people sometimes. I just like to talk about what's going on in the world and sometimes I get pretty excited about my beliefs. :) I like to think I listen too. I enjoy anyone who thinks about the world and their place in it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far someone from Sweden and a couple from Madison, WI stayed at my place. I have couchsurfed in Eugene and Denver. It was awesome each time.

Interests

I love: nature and bridges, playing board games and Rock Band, eating and cooking, drinking beer and wine, exploring, reading in a bar or coffeeshop, going to a variety of live shows, kayaking, hiking;, taking photographs, music and literature.

Into the Wild (book and movie!), The Namesake, Crime and Punishment, Ishmael, Reading Lolita in Tehran

Movies: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stranger than Fiction, Goonies, Pretty in Pink and other 80s movies

Music: Love it! Elbow, Phoenix, Travis, David Ford, Wilco, Ray Lamontagne, Rachel Yamagata...but it changes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
