Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I'm pretty picky. I hate scary/thriller movies (I have an overactive imagination) love sweet simple movies and ones with beautiful cinematography. Amelie, L'auberge Spagnole, Russian Dolls, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, American History X, William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet
Music- I love all kinds. Pretty hard to find a specific genre that I dislike...recently bought some Chopin (all piano) love hip hop violin, hip hop in general, jazz ("The Girl from Impanema" and "Take Five" are special favorites) rock, some house, etc.
Books- Unfortunately haven't been reading too much recently.. but I generally read two types- kind of more factual motivating books (ie "The tipping point," "The power of unreasonable people," "The audacity of hope," "Blink," "Freakonomics," and more fluid, sensitive prose... started reading "Love in the time of Cholera" (and was enthralled), loved "The Unbearable Lightness of Being," "The Great Gatsby," and more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Somehow I'm happier the older I get. I've lived a meandering life with the richest experiences. I've been able to travel the world and expand an open mind. I've met amazing travelers and intellectuals and spiritual guides. I've celebrated thankfulness and unity with people from so many diverse cultures... for that I am so incredibly fortunate.
