About Me

Travel, adventure and exploration have always been a massive part of my life. It has made me the ever inquisitive and curious person I am. I get the most from each place I visit by immersing myself in the local culture, connecting with local people and embracing the similarities and differences between their place of origin and my own.
I was brought up hiking and cycling all over the world and I love 'the great outdoors'. (Cycling is my main passion but i love playing frisbee!)
I am a massive foodie and i find food is one of the best ways to connect with people all over the globe. Flavours from local produce and spices vary geographically, so much so, that they've become a marker for where i am in the world.
I am a music lover and a really bad guitar player.
Hit me up with any political, social and philosophical discussions.
I am an architecture and design enthusiast and I hope one day, to create my own buildings based on all the inspiration i've gathered while travelling the world.
Ive been on the road for a year and a half so far and not planning on settling anytime soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to couch surfing and i'm hoping that it will give me a better insight in to life as a local, a shortcut to all the best spots for music and food and connect me with like-minded friends all over the world. I currently don't have a place to host people myself, but i hope to reciprocate all the generosity I experience from the couch surfing community and my hosts in the near future.

Music, Movies, and Books

I find live music completely enchanting and would spend all my evenings in jazz and blues bars, listening to the worlds talent, if i could. Im always up for a dance as long as i'm not listening to psy trance. Hip hop, jazz, blues, reggae, and rock are my favourite genres but i enjoy all music.

My favourite books include:
- A thousand splendid suns - Khaled Housseini
- Half of a yellow sun - Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
- One flew over the cuckoo's nest - Ken Kesey
- We need to talk about Kevin - Lionel Shriver
- Engleby - Sebastian Faulks

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I cycled the through Death Valley in the US for charity. 500 miles down the Nevada/California state line over 5 days. It was one of the toughest cycling challenges i've undertaken and it was truly life changing.
Another life changing adventure was trekking solo through the himalayas for a few weeks in the Everest region. Reaching an altitude of 5,900m while keeping the Everest and Cho Oyu in view was a huge achievement.
In the next few years I hope to summit Ama Dablam, what I deem to be the most beautiful mountain in the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I aim to share love, peace and happiness with everyone I meet. I am eager to learn new skills and experience all the amazing things individuals across the globe have to offer.
