Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to see the world, experience new people, places, lifestyles, cultures...create myself through my experiences and gain a wealth of knowledge from those I meet as well!
ABOUT ME
"Not all who wander are lost." This and "Carpe Diem" describe me and my philosophy. I love to travel, meet new people and gain new experiences.
I thrive on change and being social. I seem to have a million things I want to do- I am getting through the list but the more I experience, the more I find I would like to do!
I have been to Brasil, a quick visit to Canada, and all up the east coast in the US (minus Maine), along with California, Nevada, Colorado, and Hawaii as well.
I conquered Europe for my last expedition, and someday I would love to go to Australia and Costa Rica and maybe teach english!
I want to become fluent in Spanish again (which I am being refreshed currently with my Peruvian friend) and possibly another language if I can grasp it without mixing them up :) I love to practice different languages, so if you're willing to teach me, I'm willing to try!
Ps- I loved living in Holland in the summer of 2012. I am originally from Upstate New York and think it is beautiful with all the state parks and waterfalls around. Currently I am in NY, traveling whenever I am able- whether it be a few hours away or somewhere further.
PHILOSOPHY
You only live once, so make it count!
I'd rather look back and regret something I did than something I didn't do.
Treat others how you want to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Currently I am available to tell you about places I have been or make suggestions, new friends, etc. If you are close by I will do my best to meet up for a cup of coffee, go for a hike (upstate NY has great parks!!) or go dancing.
Also, I have created a few CS events as well as attended meetings when I was in Amsterdam and Berlin. I like to meet up with other travelers to explore together or exchange stories!!
When sending me a couch reqest please include what color I like in the subject line so i know you read my profile, and your personal philosophy quote!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some great people through this website so far- hopefully lifelong friends! I have attended meetings, put together some gatherings, met people for coffee, travelled with some cool people and surfed as well! Once I am renting my own place I will certainly be hosting more!
PLEASE: I love to meet new people!! BUT when I am surfing and you want to meet up for a coffee or whatever but CANNOT HOST, please send a MESSAGE- NOT a couch invitation! If you are willing to HOST, then go for the invitation, I appreciate it!
Also, if you do not have a picture or a filled out profile I probably wont respond to you..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to Brasil was amazing, and also I am proud of my US "City tour." I randomly go about things a lot of the times (decided 1am on saturday to purchase a one way plane ticket for monday morning to SC and see where life led me from there), swam above a manta ray (or was it an eagle ray- Huge and had spots, in Hawaii while being the volunteer who kept jumping in the water to check out if it was a good spot to stop the boat and snorkel around; crazy lightning storm in the Hague, trolling around the world's largest maze in pouring rain for 2 hours, mud sliding after a rugby game at camp (pretty darned fun), joined in every junkaroo parade I have ever seen at a full moon party, snowboarded down a mountain at midnight on new years eve midnight, also been in a plane over NYC at the change of NYE a different year, gone skydiving above lake okachobee at sunset with two other jumpers i met randomly on the beach the day before, held a monkey, cuddled with a skunk- no worries (descanted), made friends with a kangaroo, participating in a water dance/slide show/competition in a friend's backyard on a ridiculously large slip and slide with the whole bottle of herbal essence shampoo...
I like to think I do/ see/ experience a lot of amazing things and hope to experience much more in the future!
Teach, Learn, Share
I feel everyone has a story to tell and you can learn something from everyone if you take the time to.
I'm not too bad at making stuffed shells and hula hooping.
I would love to learn to cook some new dishes, play guitar, practice acroyoga, and get better with my photography skills! Also, I'm a sucker for "useless" facts!
What I Can Share with Hosts
