ABOUT ME

I'm just starting to live my life. I love to travel. I desire to experience new things. People say I'm kind and intelligent and peaceful. I don't like to party very much - sometimes I go to a rave or disco. I would much rather have intelligent conversation or go somewhere new, somewhere where people do not go so often, or just stay in and cuddle on a couch. I just got done with nine months of traveling over primarily two different countries - Slovakia and Indonesia. I am about to embark on another journey to central Europe and possibly Asia...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far just one, but it was how I heard about Couch Surfing. I met this really cool guy from Austria and he was taking a trip around the western states of the U.S. He showed me the pictures from the trip and told me about all the awesome people he stayed with who he found on CouchSurfing.

Interests

Music, living in other places, people, outer space, geography, history, anthropology. Sports like snowboarding, baseball, volleyball, swimming, and futbol. World events, politics, the future, the past, and the present. Traveling and not being a typical tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies that make you think, most music that has come out in the last thirty years plus some sixties and seventies, and some books but more magazines and newspapaers and websites. A few movies I enjoyed are North by Northwest, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, the Bourne movies, and Salt. I enjoy a wide range of music: alternative, hip-hop, pop, classic rock, country, techno, drum n bass, etc. A few bands I listen to include Nirvana, The Knife, Unheilig, Kabat, KINO, Black Lab, Natalia Kills, and Augustina. I am a slow reader but enjoy reading both textbooks and novels. Some of my favorites are 1984, Siddhartha, and Twilight. Am currently reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy. I follow news, sports, and politics as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I toured the east coast of Australia when I was 12. I've left three times from western Oregon taking once a trunkfull of things and twice just a backpack and a suitcase. The first was to Hailey, Idaho - a truely beautiful place. The second was to Yellowstone National Park, where I fell in love and ended up traveling the western United States. I then traveled to Slovakia and lived there for 8 months, even going to a university over there for two terms taking Business Management courses. After that, I flew to Jakarta, Indonesia for a month - experiencing a world quite different from what I had experienced before.
