About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Find the next mission.

ABOUT ME

I'm a 28 year old economist from southern Germany. About me... well, I don't like writing "about me" texts. But I like books. And I like philosophy, but not too much of it, I'm afraid it would drive me crazy. I also like photography, in order to capture how the world arranges things. And I like being in the middle of beautiful landscapes, riding my racing bike. Hmm, just ask me.

PHILOSOPHY

"There is no experience you have had that you are not the absolute centre of."

(by David Foster Wallace, whose incommensurabe books I have not yet dared to read...)

Interests

That's really not a creative thing to say here on couchsurfing... but: I am addicted to living abroad. Not just travelling, because that gives you too much information and too little time to think. So just put me in some halfway friendly place anywhere in the world and let me figure out how things work.

And my second passion is languages... (foreign languages of course, but I also love my intricate German mother tongue)... so many ways to say the same thing, but as it turns out it's not the same thing if you say it in another way. I'll never stop being fascinated about that, and I enjoy every person or book that helps me to further open my mind to those complexities!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a bath in a river one meter before a waterfall of 100 meters height (and yet another, smaller waterfall in my back) with the view at a breath-taking valley and with dear people around me, in a (luckily) still relatively unknown Brazilian national park
