About Me
Travelling with my love, Sanne (29) from September 2015 until September 2016! We met exactly one year ago via internet dating, and will go on this marvelous trip very soon!
We planned a world trip, flying the 2nd of September to Tokyo. We are really looking forward to this amazing experience, a big adventure for us.
After Tokyo we will go to South Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Peru, Bolivia and we and finally Ecuador. At least, this is the plan. Anything might happen and we are prepared for it ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Of course we like to couchsurf to meet interesting and nice people from all kinds of different backgrounds and cultures. BTW I never did couchsurfing before, but every couchsurfer once was new to it I guess...
Interests
Hang gliding is my big passion. I take part in many international competitions and love flying like an eagle for many hours and many miles using only the wind and thermals. Nothing like it, trust me.
Besides this, I like to sail with my little boat, walking in the nature, especially in the mountains (we have none in the Netherlands). Above all I like to experience new things. New places, new food, new funny or interesting people, a little adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Science Fiction mainly. Space SF by Peter F. Hamilton I like very much. The Terry Prachett Discworld novels are also very funny, a pity Terry died recently, RIP.
My favorite book is "The Time Traveler's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger. It made me cry a little.
At the moment reading Atlas Shruged by Ayn Rand. I like the libertarian ideas in it. I guess not everyone will appreciate it.
Movies: All kinds of stuff, but my favorite is still "Brazil". Second place goes to "Amélie". Favorite animation: "Spirited Away / Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi".
Music: Too much to list, from progessive rock from the '60 to modern sing-a -song writer stuff. A few of my favorites: "Regina Spektor, Radiohead, Jenny Owen Youngs, Pink Floyd"
