About Me

I love interacting with other cultures, drawing, painting, visiting museums, and making new friends. I also love the outdoors and hiking.

I work as a semi-professional artist , and I hope to make it a full-time career in the future. Currently I am also working as an English teacher in Germany.

I really like animals, and love meeting and making friends with all kinds!

I don't smoke or drink. Ok, I drink coffee, but that's different. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer staying with locals and learning new things!

I want to be able to meet more local people as I travel. I especially like meeting and spending time with other artists, and people who like books. But that's not a requirement, of course. :D

The reason I am not a host, is because I live on-campus at the school I work for, and cannot provide appropriate accommodations.

Interests

Languages, literature, art, food, museums, libraries, music (mostly heavy metal, symphonic metal, and rock but other genres too), folktales, legends, macabre things, nature, hiking, and cooking.

Most days I like to spend my time sketching inside or outside, and especially in museums.

I also like meeting and petting cats. Cats are great animals to be around. Dogs are great too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I especially like heavy metal, symphonic metal,Gothic rock, and classical music, but I like other genres too.
With movies, I especially enjoy fantasy films from the 80s and 90s. I also like sci-fi and horror films.
My favourite literature is 19th-century British literature. I also enjoy various other books as well, like works by J.R.R Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, Terry Pratchett, and Anne Rice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Studied abroad in Finland! :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about local history, legends, and foods. I also like learning things I can take with me as both good memories and new skills. I am especially interested in learning Finnish.

I am also open to teaching, and sharing whatever my host would like to know or learn. I have some knowledge/skills, in the areas of language, art, and cooking.

I don't mind helping out around the house/flat, and I will gladly wash the dishes. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my thoughts, and my love of art, languages, and literature--if my host is interested in those things. I don't want to force my conversation on anyone, but I also don't mind talking to those who are interested. :)
