About Me

Hi there! My name is Aravind, and I'm a software developer originally from Calicut, Kerala, India, currently residing in Mumbai for work.
I love traveling and have had the opportunity to visit a few countries and explore various states within India. I recently discovered this amazing community, and I'm thrilled to be a part of it! Now I'm eager to share both Mumbai and my hometown, and surf with you all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best way to experience a new place is by living like a local and fully immersing yourself in the culture. I love hosting friends from other states and taking them on food adventures, exploring hidden gems, and showing them off-the-beaten-path spots in the city. When I discovered Couchsurfing, it felt like the perfect platform to do the same, but now with new friends I haven't met yet! Whether in Mumbai or my hometown, I’m excited to share these experiences with fellow travelers.

Interests

Even though I'm professionally a software developer, I take interest in a lot of things. Photography has been the most recent and my favourite. I picked up a camera recently and it's been pushing me to explore places. I love to travel for taste, culture, nature and architecture. I also cook and I've been getting decent reviews from the people I cook for.

Music, Movies, and Books

Metal/Rock Music, Non-fiction books and all genre of sensible movies

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Guess surfing, rafting and scuba diving are the most thrilling things I've done so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

My expertise is in computer science and I might have a thing or two to teach in it. Apart from that, I take keen interest in learning astrophysics, quantum physics and some random physics. I've also been trying to hone my skills in baking. What I expect however, from surfers and hosts, is more of a cultural exchange. To learn about different cultures, food and places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a passionate traveler and love to learn about new cultures and ways of life. I am open to trying new things and I am always eager to engage in meaningful conversations with my hosts.
During my stay, I am happy to pitch in with household chores and contribute to the running of the household. As a bonus, I can cook and would be happy to prepare some delicacies from my hometown for you to try. I am also more than willing to go out of my way to make sure that my hosts have a positive and enjoyable experience hosting me.
