Hello everyone! 👋 I'm Arbe, a 29-year-old Spanish guy born in the vibrant city of Seville, Andalusia. Although I currently call the magical island of Ibiza home, my heart is divided between the flamenco roots and the Mediterranean essence As an advertising photographer, documentarian, and travel enthusiast, my passion lies in storytelling and capturing moments. 📸 I specialize in portraying the people I meet on my journey, always seeking authenticity in each image.

My life has been immersed in the audiovisual arts, working as a cinematographer, scriptwriter, and editor for short films. 🎥 While I've spent the last few years working for prominent Marketing and Advertising departments, I now seek more genuine, profound, and experimental experiences. Joy accompanies me, especially when exploring new destinations and meeting new people. I believe that experiences are more valuable than the destination itself.

I'm extroverted, and despite my imperfect English, I always make an effort to express myself. I enjoy trying new things, whether in gastronomy or local culture. Music and dance are my ideal companions, and I'm always open to discussing film and series critiques, as aspiring to direct movies is one of my major goals.

Connection with nature is crucial for me; I love witnessing sunrises and sunsets, connecting with the surroundings. The sea, mountains, and bustling cities are my paradises. My passion for animals has grown, especially after my journeys through Southeast Asia, where I discovered a newfound fascination for insects.

With me, fun is guaranteed as I'm an expert storyteller. However, I can also adapt to a more tranquil and serene environment, being empathetic and attuned to the energy of the place. I'm on Couchsurfing because I want to travel in a different way. During my backpacking trips in hostels, I met many people who were exploring the world in this unique way, and it caught my attention. Moreover, what has left the most lasting impression on my memories from past travels are the experiences I shared with fellow travelers. That's why I believe that when traveling with Couchsurfing, the person you stay with can play a significant role in your own journey.

Being part of this network is more than just finding a place to stay; it's immersing myself in a community that values trust, something I aspire to develop further within myself. Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a passionate cinephile with a deep connection to the seventh art. In addition to creating my own short films and artistic videos, I love exploring the cinematic magic that other creators offer us. My obsession with cinema takes me to the movies 1 to 2 times a week, even when I'm backpacking in a country; I always look for the nearest cinema to immerse myself in local films. I've had the opportunity to enjoy movies in Hindi, Malay, Indonesian, and Thai, among others.

My cinematic tastes are influenced by visionary directors like Gaspar Noé, Pedro Almodóvar, Stanley Kubrick, Michael Haneke, Tarantino, and Sofia Coppola. Films such as Trainspotting, All About My Mother, Fight Club, Hereditary, The Dreamers, The Virgin Suicides, Mommy, The Skin I Live in, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Climax, Funny Games, or Marie Antoinette are true works of art to me.

As for music, my taste is varied. When I go out dancing, I dive into electronic music, from Techno, minimal, drum and bass to tech-house and even hard techno. For home enjoyment, I like Spanish music, flamenco, pop, and rock. I also love Latin rhythms like bachata and reggaeton. Classics of history like Queen or Fleetwood Mac also hold a special place in my heart. In short, I love anything with rhythm and soul.

Regarding reading, although I sometimes struggle to concentrate, Agatha Christie's suspense novels and books on emotional intelligence are my favorites. I'm excited to share these passions with you and discover what artistic masterpieces we can explore together 🎬

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Creating a short film to promote the care of grandparents and mental health, achieving the highest grade in my class at art school, taking my mother backpacking through a jungle in Malaysia, or producing an audiovisual tribute to all the workers of a large company with incredible results have been some of the things I am most proud of in this life ❤️
