About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love exploring different cultures, meeting interesting people, and perhaps most importantly, eating good food!

ABOUT ME

I went to college in Chicago before moving to New York City to work as a magazine writer for four years. I loved the Big Apple, but after years of cramped apartments and NYC's daily (difficult) grind, I saved up some money, quit my job and left my NYC life to travel the world. So far, my boyfriend and I have spent six months backpacking through Peru, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Colombia and Panama. We're now taking a pause from all the movement to stay in Honolulu, HI for a bit.

PHILOSOPHY

Eat well and travel often.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Coffee, drink and/or surfing (since we're currently traveling)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to the scene but eager to start!

Interests

Perhaps first and foremost I love food -- whether it's trying new restaurants or plowing through the many recipes on my to-do list. When I'm not stuffing my face with delicious treats, you can find me outside hiking, doing yoga, dancing, snorkeling and/or hitting the beach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We stayed three nights on the San Blas Islands off Panama with the native tribe, known as the Kuna people.

We zip-lined on six consecutive lines in Peru.

We spent five days hiking the glorious national park known as Torres del Paine.

Teach, Learn, Share

The classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is really expensive. Try an alternative like the jungle trek, for more than half the price and a different experience.

Go to the San Blas Islands in Panama. You can thank me later.
