About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Within the next hour; to get this profile description written up. I'll write something better when I can think of it. I barely know myself...
ABOUT ME
I'm a freshly-graduated doctor, now living down in Bristol after six amazing years in Glasgow. I'm reasonably well travelled, having spent almost all my university summers travelling (both at home and abroad) and most of my spare cash on the same.
To give a personal description of me as a person would be a frustratingly difficult thing to do; I've always wanted to meet myself to find out what I would think of me. In my lower moments, I sometimes wonder whether we'd really get on that well at all.
I suppose I would see myself as an (*cliché alert!*) easygoing open minded sort of person, willing to try and experience anything/everything.
PHILOSOPHY
Live life to the full. Make the world a better place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have experienced both CS as both a host and a surfer; having been inadvertently introduced to it whilst a friend was living at my place (and happened to have a couple of surfers round).
After that I went on to do a fair bit of surfing that summer on a trip round Germany, and since then have surfed on the one occasion in India, had a fantastic time surfing in the USA, followed by more surfing last summer whilst cycle touring in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.
Interests
I'll give more or less anything a try; as for the things that seem to occupy my time more than others of late:Mountaineering (both walking and climbing)
Squash, running, cycling
Medicine; what can I say, I did it first as a degree and now a living, it takes up a lot of my time; but right now am loving it, and wouldn't swap for any other job in the world!Travel; I suppose being on this website is a bit of a giveaway, but I do like to get about.German; having learnt it in school as well as improved it on my travels, I've tried to maintain it. Surfing and working in Germany in 2010 did a lot to help bring it back to scratch, and I'm always glad of the chance to practice with any teutonically-inclined surfers...Food; the preparation and consumption thereofDrink; tea, coffee, wine, beer, most spirits
