HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been living with flatmates for years, which makes hosting a bit tricky. Hopefully I'll have enough money soon to live somewhere with a spare bedroom!!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Did a one-year trip in and around Europe and surfed a LOT of couches during that time.

Travel (what a surprise right?), business, politics and economics, strategy games, ganja, coding (I've done some web but these days it's mostly R and Python), outdoor sports...

Musica, film e libri

Music: mostly into electronic music but my tastes are extremely varied and I'm open to pretty much anything except for "music" in which people are just screaming

Movies: favorite directors are Quentin Tarantino, Akira Kurosawa and Denys Arcand

Books: I read a lot of books when I have time (mostly non-fiction). In the past year my two favorites were "The Black Swan" by Nassim Nicholas Taleb (about the impact of highly improbable events) and "The Better Angels of Our Nature" by Steven Pinker (about the historical decline of violence)

- Saw a wild lynx in Northern Quebec

- Shared a house with eight other people for several months in France

- Did a two-month, 2660km solo bike trip through Southern France and Eastern Spain, from Lyon to Granada via Grenoble and Nice

- Took a two-day, three-night ferry across the Black Sea, from Ilyichevsk (Ukraine) to Batumi (Georgia) and made friends with whom I shared no common language...

- Tried starting an "Amazon for weed" for Canada's soon-to-be-legal market... (unfortunately every single province ended up blocking that business model)
