Movies: seldom satisfied by a Hollywood blockbuster, I prefer the quirky, funny, tragic, cryptic, thrilling and unpredictable.

Music: an eclectic swarm including Trentemoller, Fourtet, Bob Dylan, John Coltrane, Bela Bartok

Books: nonfiction especially food, and non-military history, and any good fiction that makes you think!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been amazingly fortunate to travel:

Scuba diving on the great barrier reef. Hiking in Ecuador's cloud forests. Visiting Mayan ruins. Swimming in a serene mountain lake in Switzerland and rushing streams of Norway.

I think it is most amazing to see your everyday surroundings with truly fresh eyes.
