ABOUT ME

I'm simple but very "demanding"; especially with myself. During my youth I tried not to become too "ordinary", and I have to say I did a good job... Now I have a nice profession (tourist guide), giving me a lot of free time, especially in winter. I haven't a car, and no TV; I listen music on vinyl and write letters with a pen. I'm a little bit "medieval", it's true; but never on purpose. I like, in people, their spontaneous side. To describe me in a toscan way, I'm sometimes a "balls-breaker..." The thing I called, before, to be "demanding"...

Sono una persona semplice ma esigente; soprattutto nei miei confronti. Sin dalla mia giovinezza ho cercato di non diventare troppo "normale", e devo dire che ci sono riuscito abbastanza bene... Ora faccio un bel lavoro (la guida turistica), che mi lascia tantissimo tempo libero, soprattutto in inverno. Non ho l'automobile, né la televisione; ascolto dischi di vinile e scrivo molto con la penna. Sono dunque un po' "all'antica", è vero; ma mai in modo "forzato". PHILOSOPHY

I'm trying to "leave" the normal world... I work until it's "necessary", I don't spend a lot of time (and money...) in supermarkets, I don't have TV, and not car: this way, the relationships and the research of pleasure become my focus, the planet to explore...
I play my guitar and... my life too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Now I know a little bit better the "couch" world; anyway, I always lived as a surfer... This system is, of course, bigger than the ordinary friend's system; so, it's more powerfull.
Recently, I began to feel that many surfers use couch-surfing JUST to spend less money... I wouldn't like that couch-surfing will be the smart ally of Ryan-Air... creating just a new low-cost philosophy of traveling!
After the last experience with a person treating me as a "stalker" (!), I'm seriously thinking to stop to give hospitality and confidence to young people... Sorry! I'm so shocked by this situation...

Interests

I like music, books, theatre, conversations... As the "Petit Prince" does, I'm anyway always exploring the complicate, mysterious world of people...

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't like that nice things have an "economic limit". So, I never enjoyed cinema, for example (more over because you have to be in silence for two hours!). I like books, especially philosophy and sociology writers; in this last period, I'm discovering the world of Romain Gary! What remains is music... I like italian (Mario Castelnuovo, Bobo Rondelli, Ivano Fossati,...) and french (Mano Solo, Jacques Brel,...) songwriters. I have and listen almost 1000 vinyl records: Fuzzstones, Depeche Mode, America, Who, Dave Mattews Band, Uriah Heep, David Bowie, Oasis, Nick Cave, Led Zeppelin,... Since 2013, I organize nice home concerts in my apartement.

Non amo che le belle cose abbiano barriere "economiche". Così, sono diventato molto ostile al cinema (anche perché ci obbliga al silenzio per due ore; e poi ci fa spesso parlare di cose che non sono proprio "nostre"...). Mi piace la letteratura socio-filosofica; ma leggo di tutto; in questo periodo, sono alla scoperta del mondo di Romain Gary! La musica, è per me tutto il resto... Mi piacciono tantissimo i cantautori italiani (come Mario Castelnuovo, Bobo Rondelli, Ivano Fossati) e francesi (Mano Solo, Jacques Brel,...). One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I played theatre in a fantastic street festival, for three years; the theme was "Pinocchio", and I played the role of the "grillo" (the "cricket").
- Since 2013, I organize house-concerts in my little living room!

- Ho recitato come "grillo parlante", per tre anni, in una bella festa che si svolge in estate a Gualdo di Massarosa, vicino al mare, non lontano da Lucca.
- Dal 2013, organizzo house-concerts nel mio piccolo salotto!
