Hi, I am Ronja, 33 years old and a Video Games Marketing person. My husband Ernst (a civil/structural engineer and sports fanatic) and I live in Allschwil, which is adjacent to the lovely city of Basel, Switzerland. I was born in Germany but came to Switzerland with my family when I was a kid, and grew up in Basel and Baselland. I moved to Vienna, Austria to study Tourism Management and because the city is equally beautiful and I wanted some tame adventure. After I finished my degree I stayed in Vienna for a total of 11 years and only just recently moved back to Basel, my now-husband in tow (He is Austrian). So one could say we are from all over the place of German speaking countries :).

I have lived in various more places in Europe and realised early on that travelling is something that gives you something that no-one can ever take away from you again. Moving around so much I also realised that for me home is where I make it and where my important people are. For now, we're very happy here, but who knows what the world has in store for us coming up.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

We both are very social people and love to have company and meet new people from different backgrounds. Whenever we have both time off we take our VW campervan and explore the near and far around us. So we are not really dependent on getting a host to stay at via Couchsurfing, but while we're home we have enough space to host one or two of you, to just meet new people, get new impulses, great talks and travel ideas.

We both work a lot but in our off time we enjoy going out, hanging out with friends, exploring or just enjoy a glass of wine on one of our two balconies with a view of all the green around us. :). If you stayed with us we would definitely make time to show you around and give you good advice what to check out here. I work from home so my schedule is - while packed - flexible when we have guests.
