ABOUT ME
I LOVE to cook and try to prepare meals for others whenever I can. It is one of my favorite activities in life.
I find that the more I practice generosity with others, the easier it is for me to get the things I truly need. I would like to help create a world in which we regard each other's wellbeing as being equally important as our own, for I believe that is how we can achieve deep happiness.
I like to read books and magazines, watch some TV shows (True Blood, Mad Men, and Star Trek are among my favorites.) My favorite authors are Alice Walker, Charles Bukowski, and Kurt Vonnegut. I listen to music quite a lot. I love going to live shows of all types.
I believe a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet! I'm a pretty open person, laid-back, fun-loving and also a hard worker and committed to my goals.
PHILOSOPHY
I draw a bit from many different philosophies, from all over the place really... I consider myself a Buddhist as well as a Unitarian Universalist and what some might call an atheist (but I do pray sometimes). I also practice yoga and so there is a sizeable Hindu influence in my life as well. I love to talk about philosophy with people, when the time is right and only if everyone is in a good mood :) Spirituality endlessly fascinates me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite directors : Guillermo del Toro, Wes Anderson, John Waters. My favorite movie right now is The Science of Sleep. Other top picks would be The Darjeeling Limited, Cry-Baby, The Saddest Music in the World, Cool Hand Luke. I'm reading "One Hundred Years of Solitude" again, and loving it... such a great story. I enjoy the works of many authors, favorites lately would be Anais Nin and Charles Bukowski.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The first thing that pops into my head is just visiting Big Sur, which I did over the summer. Between that, the canyonlands in Southern Utah, and Summit County, CO, I feel like I have experienced the most overwhelming natural majesty that my eyes could take in. But I still want to find more!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook up a storm, sew or mend most items, and/or teach you some yoga. I am sort of an amateur massage therapist, still learning but I enjoy practicing on willing victims.
