About Me
My mission:
To see as much as I can; to learn; to teach, and to share.
Hello!
My name is Sandy, or Arena, in Spanish.
I am an architecture student and although I've only lived here for 4 years, I am already a true Buffalonian at Heart.
I lived in Mexico all my life until I turned 21, and during that time I was preety much like a tumbleweed: I never hada chance to grow roots, I visited many places anywhere the wind blew but until now, I am just finding a home here in Buffalo.
I share an apartment with my male roommate (26). We live in the beautiful neighborhood of Allentown, conveniently located (stumbling) walking distance of the bar hub, cafes, galleries and business districts.
For the most part, I am a very independent woman. I am mostly serious about life, but I have found that everything in life is easier and better with a glass of wine and the right company. I don't like getting in trouble. I respect others, and hope to find people who feel the same.
I love cooking, and keeping my apartment clean. I mind my own business, I don't judge and I love sharing however little I have got in life. It helps me find a deeper meaning to my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My roommate has been a couchsurfer for a couple years now, and I have met very interesting and pleasant people who have honored us to stay in our home. Now, it is my turn: I am a great hostess and I love to meet new people with interests in common, perhaps find a prospective host for my future travels based in reciprocity?
Just as I try to be a good hostess, I will try to be a good guest.
No BS from me, no drama. Au contraire, I would love to pay it forward by cooking some awesome Mexican meals and sharing stories and drink.
Does this sound appealing to you?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I came to this country by myself and I have no family, no dog. One sister who lives far away and I haven't seen her in 4 years, and a Part-time Cat.
I have managed to keep my life in good shape.
Not getting in trouble..
It seems menial, but with the cards I was dealt... I am surprised I am even alive!
I am trying to get ahead in life and accomplish something for myself and help others.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share my cooking.
It's something I am really good at and I do it from the heart.
If I could teach a recipe to anyone..I would be so proud to have been an example for good!
I would love to change the impression everyone seems to have about Mexicans.
I would like to set an example of how hard working people we are. We are caring, loving friends, clean, determined, supportive.
If I could show anyone, the good things we are..!
I would be proud and satisfied!
