Hello, I am Areum.
I am Korean, 22years old girl.
I am studying communication science in Porto, Portugal as Exchange student now with travelling many cities of Portugal.
my major in Korea is media. I plan, design and make media content.

I'd like to travel other Europe country at Christmas season and after my semester. My goal of travel is knowing 'Real' life of that countries.
My travel style is very slow. I prefer staying long in one city to looking around many cities in short period.
So I would be happy if i can make cultural exchange with local people during my travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why am I on Couchsurfing?
Of course, to know real figure of countries which i will travel!
I don't want to go just sightseeing tourist attraction.

For me, Travelling is experiencing, feeling New things New culture New people!

So usually, I don't have any information about place that i will travel whenever I am on a travelling.
I get some information of there by asking or communicating with local people.
I think that is more exciting and adventurous!

I think Couchsurfing would give me new kind of experiences. of course to host as well. So I'm on Couchsurfing.

Interests

I love watching plays and performance. especially concert of my favorite singer XIA (korea singer. :p ) and musical. I love the feeling i can feel in the hall.

I like dessert like chocolate and some piece of cake. I'd like to try many kind of dessert in many countries!

finally, I am interested in cultural exchange and enjoy adapting and trying at new things whatever. I am feeling many differences between Korea and other countries many times, even with Japan that is very near from Korea when i talked with my Japan friend.
It always make me feel fun and want to know about culture, people that are not mine.
I enjoy trying new food as well >_<

I like musical music like "loving you keeps me alive" in musical Dracula, "Last Dance" in musical Elisabeth and so on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been Sahara Desert and have seen night sky of there that many stars seems being poured . It was really beautiful and i got moved.
Sleeping on the desert and taking camel were surely special experience.
