About Me

A 27 year old person from Israel. (JLM)
A student in HUJI - majoring in Germanistik and Romance studies 🤓
Mainly interested in literature, languages and linguistics, music, astronomy, urban culture, psychology, resolving challenges and how the world and everything around us work in general.

Vegan out of habit (sorta… excluding deserts and baked goods) and (trying very hard to be) eco-friendly.
Usually self aware and accepting of inner multitudes! Boundaries and open communication are very important to me!
I’m queer 🏳️‍🌈
People tend to like me in general :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am going to be traveling to Germany in April.
It's nice to have the option to get to know people from all around the world on your journey.

EDIT: So both the trip and the concert were THE BEST time of my life and having been hosted by two amazing hostesses just makes me want to forget about hotels and keep CouchSurfing in every place I visit.

EDIT I: I plan on becoming a host once I settle down more regularly, hopefully somewhere in Europe, and also travel and understand what makes different people tick through stories, shared experiences and just getting to know them.

EDIT II: I am going to be traveling to Paris in February, so I consider crashing a couch at some good person’s place. If this person is available to show me around a bit and hang would be perfect.

EDIT III: I am going to travel to Austria on a German class scholarship and would love to meet new people and hear recommendations for easy hiking paths and urban activities around Klagenfurt!

EDIT IV: I am going to Austria for two months and then I’ll be spending a month in Italy. Will need one night of hosting in Napoli before my flight back home.

Music, Movies, and Books

As listed above, I freaking love Lana Del Rey.
Benjamin Clementine is a great and inspiring artist as well.
t.A.T.u were a band I groupied so hard during my mid to high school years. EDIT: I’m back to obsessing over them and Lena Katina’s solo career
Lorde is also cool. Rebecca and Fiona are amazing and Susanne Sundfør is a gem I discovered not too long ago. Tove Lo is a cool girl ^^
There are a few Israeli artist out there that I really like, which you've never heard of probably, like Miri Messika, Ninet Tayeb l, Shiri Maimon, Noga Erez
, Nunu, Noa Kirel and Dudu Tassa.
EDIT: Rediscovering a Russian band from my childhood called Nichya as well as Billie Eillish.
I love ESC 🇪🇺

Movies: Midsommar, I’m thinking of ending things, Spirited Away, Your name, Call me by your name, Goodbye Mary Poppins (Soviet adaptation of the classic).

Series: Crashing, Love, Heartstopper, Sense8, Unsere Mütter Unsere Väter, HIMYM (And its spin off) and many more and it expands all the time.

Books: A Month in Siena, Homo Faber, Der Verlorene, זהות חצויה, כריש זכרון, Le Petit Prince and can’t think of others right now and the Harry Potter series that occupied my childhood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I WENT TO A FUCKING LANA DEL REY CONCERT IN BERLIN IT WAS FUCKING PERFECT

But many awesome things happened in the duration of my short life :-)
