About Me

I am an extremely friendly guy, recently graduated from college, working seasonally and traveling through Latin America. In August 2017 I will finish my job as the Project Director for a cross-cultural, youth leadership program in Ecuador, and heading south through Peru, Bolivia and Chile/Argentina through December 2017. Im an avid outdoor goer, climber, mountaineer and surfer with a passion for protecting wild spaces and engaging in deep and challenging conversations. I am super laid back, clean, mindful of other peoples space and always bring a contagious positive spirit along. Looking forward to hanging!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling through Peru, Bolivia and Chile/Argentina from August-December 2017 and looking to meet some inspiring and exciting people to travel, stay and adventure with. I will be doing lots of backpacking/trekking with every few days in cities and smaller towns and am open to meeting some solid humans, welcoming hearts and trekking/climbing partners along the road!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music--Leon Bridges, Saint Paul and the Broken Bones, Anderson Paak, Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Heartless Bastards, Vulfpeck. All about blues rock, soul and a good horn section!
Top Movies--180 Degrees South, Goodwill Hunting, Dead Poets society, Breakfast Club.
Books--I like reading extremely dense and debatably nerdy non-fiction--1491, Guns Germs and Steel as a taste. A few other favorites--Omnivores Dilemma, Desert Solitaire, Venas Abiertas de America Latina.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As an outdoor guide and enthusiast I am always excited to learn new skills and experience the outside world in new forms--this last spring I lead one of my first multi-pitch trad climbs with a buddy near Mt Whitney in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. Topping out, hundreds of feet above the start of the climb was a surreal feeling, looking down proudly into the valley we had just methodically navigated out of.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach--Ecology, percussion, meditation, outdoor living.
Learn--About your story and path.
Share--A continuous positive energy and gratitude for life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you decide to so kindly host me on my voyage, I will gladly cook a delicious and nutritious vegetarian meal, buy you a beer, share exciting stories and listen to your own!
