Overview
About Me
I love going to “burns,” usually local events that follow burning man's 10 principles:
Radical Inclusion, Gifting, Decommodification, Radical Self-reliance, Radical Self-expression, Communal Effort, Civic Responsibility, Leaving No Trace, Participation, and Immediacy. I try to take these ideas into the world around me.
I love going out to dance in a place that isn't overcrowded yet has enough people to not be “the goofy girl dancing over there.”
I enjoy relaxing conversation over wine or coffee, you never know what you’ll learn from a conversation with a stranger!
I like the camaraderie and competitiveness from a good board game. The social games are fine but not thrilling IE: Cards against humanity. However, I prefer something a bit more in depth with multiple viable strategies like Settlers of Catan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hope to use CS to invite travelers into my home to experience many of the great aspects my city has to offer, and to receive the same on my travels. I believe that using CS will give a richer, more fulfilling experience than just visiting a new country to stay in your own secluded hotel room. I relish the idea of staying with humans from all walks of life. Their vastly different life and cultural experiences offer a greater sense of the local culture for wherever we might be visiting.
