About Me

I would describe myself as pretty social and active. I am always surrounded by friends, and always up for hanging out and going out.

I also enjoy all kinds of sports. Although typically I just go running, I always look for going somewhere to go rafting, hicking, surfing, canyoeing, or whatever sport you can have fun with some friends :)

Moreover, I love concerts, festivals and bars with good and live music. For instance, some of the festivals that I've been to are FIB (Spain), Bilbao BBK Live (Spain) and ArctanGent (UK).

Also a nature lover and animal lover. This is one of my all-times favorite quote, taken from Daniel Quinn's book "Ishmael":

"It's the idea that people living close to nature tend to be noble. It's seeing all those sunsets that does it. You can't watch a sunset and then go off and set fire to your neighbor's tepee. Living close to nature is wonderful for your mental health."

Aaaaand then you get to paradise when you are in the middle of the nature with a good craft beer in your hands :) After living in the US for 5 years, I really got to love craft beers, seasonal beers, everything about them. In fact, my boyfriend and I have recently started brewing our own beer at home. People say it's good :)

Last but not least, we bought a van (our beloved yellow Mercedes Vito called "La Vane") 3 years ago and since then we have spent all summers road tripping around Europe and living the vanlife.... an addictive lifestyle that has taken us to meet awesome people, discover amazing places and having the most fun adventures. Now I honestly could not imagine myself booking hotels for vacation, simply because you miss out so much on meeting new people and everything that involves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Courchsurfing for the same reason as everybody here :) You can either travel as a tourist, or you can travel and meet people, learn from them, share all about you. I am the type of person that enjoy a good conversation, beer or wine in hand, and I'm always up for any plan.

And as much as I love travelling, I hate being a tourist. Rather than that, it's the people you meet, the experiences you have, and the real and personal side of the places what make them great.

I could particularly share all my experiences about being Spanish and living for a while in the US and in Germany. Moreover, as a Linguist, I have specialized on how people can learn new languages by acculturating in the new culture and interacting with native (and other) speakers.... so I truly love experiencing that myself and learning about other people's experiences travelling around!
