I'm about to embark on an intense academic journey, starting my MD-PhD this summer with the expectation of studying cancer biology and medicine side by side. I am passionate about science and education and love teaching people new things just as much as I love learning what others have to teach.

I'm also a huge nerd when it comes to TV and books, spending hours on Netflix marathons of obscure SciFi shows that maybe didn't deserve the attention.

I love making new friends, especially over a beer and a good set of anecdotes and I hope to meet some cool people abroad!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm traveling on a Eurotrip as a last big hurrah before my 8 year program commences and I am hoping to meet some great people in the cities I'm visiting who can make the experience more authentic and broaden my horizons on the world. Variety is the spice of life (oh how cliche) and everyone can do with a greater variety of friends!

I have finally caved and started watching Game of Thrones (I've also read a good chunk of the books)
Generally a fan of sci-fi/fantasy and television over movies. If Joss Whedon made it I've probably watched it. Alternatively, if I've watched it, it is probably represented at comic conventions.
