I'm Ari. I’m from Austin, Texas. I am a professional musician/teacher/performer. From August-September, I will be embarking upon a European adventure! My goal is to visit 10 countries. I am super easy going and I would love to meet you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m not on couchsurfing for the free accomodation. I could just as easily stay at a hotel, Airbnb, or hostel— but I like couchsurfing because of the cultural exchange and ability to make friends for a lifetime. I find that travelling is crucial to my personal growth, spiritually and intellectually. Ultimately I hope to gain a better understanding of the world and make some rad friends along the way! Maybe drink a beer and get into some adventures :)

Interests

I enjoy spending time in nature as well as exploring bustling, urban cities. I like physical activity outdoors—hiking, swimming, yoga. I love any kind of creative performance—live music, musicals, theatre. I love a picnic outside at a nice park, perhaps eating some fresh, delicious vegetarian food, some simple bread-wine-cheese, or chatting over hookah and tea. I love to journal about my travels as well. I am interested in visiting historical/must-see/tourist sights, but also want to go off the beaten path and experience a place through the eyes of interesting locals. I would love to explore some nightlife, although drinking excessive amounts of booze isnt my thing haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Im currently listening to a lot of Joni Mitchell. Overall though I really love swing-era jazz tunes and the beatles and most music from the 60s and 70s.
