About Me
Hey there!
I am currently a student at the University of Victoria completing a double major in Environmental Studies and English Literature, with a minor in Applied Ethics. Growing up in a diplomatic family I travelled a lot and lived in London and was born in Tokyo. The passion for travelling has always been with me since childhood. I am happiest when meandering around a city with a coffee in hand, or getting lost on a windy, rural coastline. I recently did a solo trip across the West Coast of the United States, staying on farms and couches. I love meeting new people and I'm always up for a wild adventure! All you need in life is to pack a couple of beers, have some wonderful people with you, a nice view, and everything will be alright!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I'm travelling, I like to meet with locals because they know the city they live in better than anyone. You can make so many friends along the way! I have truly been blown away and in awe at the amazing people I have met through couchsurfing. It has definitely made me realise what beautiful, incredible, generous and selfless people there are out there.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite Music: I know everyone says this, but I am honestly open to any type of music ever. Try me! If I had to pick a favourite though, it would be Neil Young, Lord Huron, The Head and the Heart, Alabama Shakes, etc.
Favourite Movies: Anything that inspires me to get off my ass and live a better life... Or that just cracks me up like crazy.
I have so many favourite books, it's unfair to pick only one. If you love books, can we please buy a bottle of Merlot and spend hours talking about literary analyses?!
Anyways, these are some of my favourite Books:
-The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde
-Just Kids by Patti Smith
-Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
-The Secret History by Donna Tart
-The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Hiked a glacier in Iceland.
-Hitchhiked across Canada (it's a pretty big country, might I add...).
-Enrolled in university (still amazes me to this day).
Teach, Learn, Share
If you're down, I love to give and receive stick and pokes (DIY tattoos). A fun party trick that has remained from my hippy days.
What I Can Share with Hosts
One of my favourite things in life is meeting new people! I love talking, taking people out to dinner, sharing a beer a two. I'm very passionate about new connections. I will always be up for some crazy adventure, and definitely a long and inspiring conversation.
