About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an architect in Grenoble.
Born and raised near by, but really eager to travel and meet other people.
I know my city and some of the surroundings, so I can show you around or recomend things to do/see/eat =)
But I'm always up for any discovery so feel free to talk about what your interests are !

I'm an architect passionate, and very fond of everything about culture (let it be music, food, art, movies/series, ...)
I also am very interested in social studies, as the poverty schemes, the gender inequity or the place of women in mostly male's jobs.

I spent one year in São Carlos, in Brazil for an exchange program during my early 20, and I really loved to discover Brazil and the Brazilian people I met there were awesome. I kept some good friends from there.

I'm an avid listener and learner so I'm trying to know as much as possible about the people I met and their stories and lives, but I also understand if you don't want to share, no worries, I respect any boundaries people may set ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to travel a lot in CouchSurfing in Brazil. Then when I came back in France, I just let it aside because my flat was too small to welcome people.
My flat is now big enough to host some people, but please be aware that I don't accept last minute request : I really need to talk a minute with the person first as I had some bad experiences in the past in hosting people.

I hope you can understand this, and if so, feel free to PM me =)
I'm only hosting women for now, as I feel more comfortable like that, but can help men to get accomodation if I can

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences takes place in Brazil, and I love that. Every time, I learn a lot a thing, and had a lot of fun !

Music, Movies, and Books

Wow, that's a difficult one ! I guess one could say I'm a generalist more than a specialist, so :

As the music go, I listen mostly to rock, indie, electronic, rnb, pop, reggae and reggaeton, don't know a lot on metal and classic music but willing to discover

Avid reader, I don't have a favorite type, I rarely read a book that I dislike or didn't finish, I always find some good lessons or ideas in everything I read
Although I'm more of a "real world" enthousiast, I get that some SF or fantasy can explore some "real" life matter and just them into a different world, it's just that I'm not a SF expert by any means. I like books that explore differents points of view than mine, differents cultures...

And I guess it's the same about movie/series : I really enjoy the pieces that go through the main theme, whether it's comedy or thriller, or whatever.
I definitely don't enjoy horrors movies though, keep getting nightmares even at my age :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had some adventures, not off all them good, and with differents outcome but here's a non exhaustive list :
- I'm a volunteer for the Red Cross and I'm teaching french for adults from differents countries and background
- I dived in some really nice spots in the Mediterrean sea and also got to see the coral barrier in New Caledonia <3
- I volunteer in Brasil in the Teto (Techo for the rest of Latin America), by helping people build their houses
- I got to bungee jump in a really nice spot near Grenoble (highest in Europe)
- I had training in some really interesting architecture techniques (adobe, wood) which was very fullfiling
- I have 2 nieces and a lot of friend's kids around and although it might seem corny but whatching them grow and discover everything is really a trip !

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm teaching french for some adults, so I guess I could help you with that, even learning you some Grenoble's slur if you'd like to ;)
I can also show you some recipes, from family recipes to some more "worldwide"
I guess I'm able to teach a little bit about architecture, modeling, CAD sotfwares (ArchiCAD, VectorWorks, 3DSMAX, ...) or graphic design sofwares (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, ...) but that never came as something people look forward XD

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can show you the city of Grenoble, the museums, parks... I can also show you some great pubs and restaurants and let you know some of the cool events happening in Grenoble (short movies festival, music festival, paragliding festival, ...)
Also, depending on my disponibilities, I can take you to some really nice spots around ! There is some lakes, a lot of skii stations, a spot for bungee jummping, some urbex spots as well so, a lot to discover !!
