About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore this world while I still have the means.

ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurous, friendly, and open-minded soul looking to meet kindred spirits in the pursuit of happiness on our lonely planet. Having been a 26-year participant of this rat race called life, I'm opting to drop out for a brief "sabbatical" to become aware of what all's out there. my game plan is to start off with domestic destinations, eventually advancing toward an international itinerary.

PHILOSOPHY

Having lived in one of the least progressive regions this nation has to offer, I was given an opportunity to open my eyes and witness droves of burdened spirits caught in an endlessly perpetuating routine. I say break the monotony and be a maverick! Incite positive change and pay it forward—this is mankind's greatest hope for emotional evolution.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This isn't a good excuse, but it's taken me a solid year to get my profile up and running. I initially joined in winter 2013 when one of my friends recounted his "backpacking through Europe" experience, highlighting this site as an invaluable resource. Now I'm still a bit of a newbie to this cause, so I'm figuring it out as I go along, but I hope to start surfing/hosting ASAP.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had one yet, unfortunately; but I'm hopeful for its occurrence in the imminent future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Cards on the table: I'm terrible at declaring categorical superlatives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was provided with the means to start a business from the ground up, eventually yielding five figures of net revenue per month and successfully sustaining operations for a reasonable duration. Short-term, high-risk commodities trading is where it's at! Alas, this experience is a part of my past now.

Teach, Learn, Share

At an early age, one of the core principles my father instilled within me is to recognize that there's always a limit. Perhaps due to paternal impressionability, this tenet continues to resonate within me. As such, I learned to hone my wit and abilities appropriately. As far as academic disciplines are concerned: art, history and literature demonstrate my shortcomings; whereas communications, psychology, and the sciences reflect my strengths. I don't proclaim to be a know-it-all by any means, as it would be foolish to deny the limitations of one's own knowledge. I willingly embrace opportunities to better myself through the wisdom of any seasoned souls out there.
