Overview
About Me
I am a 22 year old Erasmus student living in Germany! I am so grateful to have explored around Germany- Berlin, Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart… I originally signed up for 6 months of the Erasmus programme but enjoyed my company of Spanish friends and so extended.
I come from the UK and I am here until the end of July :) I have a mixed family background- my dad is Afghan and my grandma (on mum’s side) is Danish. I love anything Scandinavian. I have lived in numerous places in the UK such as Manchester, Loughborough (the Midlands), Bath and near London. If you need tips on anything UK, feel free to message me.
I love travelling, walking and being out in nature 🍁 This includes driving to the Lake District by myself to go for a week of hiking. As well, I have a five year beagle at home with my family. She is adorable.
I am in a C1.1 German class and would love to live abroad when I am older. The UK weather isn’t for me… I hope to go into an international NGO where I can help lots of people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe in making travelling accessible to everyone, and Couchsurfing would allow me to meet more people as a solo female traveller (unless one of my Erasmus friends comes along).
It is cool to give back to the community 😎

Music, Movies, and Books
I loveeeee movies- my favourite has to be Where The Crawdads Sing recently. When I am not reading journal articles for politics, I am reading fiction books- any genre.
I also love Sitcoms, How I Met Your Mother is my all-time favourite, then Modern Family.
My main music taste is RnB/Hiphop, but I have seen Masego, the Weeknd, Gorillaz, Tame Impala, Travis Scott… to name a few. I went to Wireless Festival in 2019 and All Points East in 2022.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Three hour canoe in Highland Scotland, then camped for two nights in the middle of nowhere.
Teach, Learn, Share
I study Politics and International Relations at Loughborough University 👩🎓 I also love to draw and guaranteed I am carrying my art sketchbook with me wherever I go. Sometimes I paint for my friends with acrylics.
I am massively passionate about the environment. I worked in an environmental charity which helped people with low-moderate mental health needs and I also hosted a climate change advocacy event for the Great Big Green Week. We had donkey petting, a free, good-quality clothing exchange, willow weaving, placard making…I loved it!
