ABOUT ME
I am easy going, and I love to laugh, read, paint, learn, cook, grow, teach, dance, sail, explore, etc... I am looking to meet caring, honest and fun people. In fact, I am interested in meeting all sorts of people no matter how different they are from me or from what I know; my travels around the globe have made me very curious and accepting.
I love to converse about controversial topics, politics, social issues, arts and serious stuff as much as I love to be goofy, to laugh around until my belly hurts and to not take myself seriously. I am a social documentary photographer and I am very interested in indigenous issues in Canada and abroad. I often get involved in community development: I have volunteered for art events, social movements, soup kitchens, Food not bombs, Occupy Wall street, etc. I gave plenty of photo workshops to disadvantaged people as well as jewelry workshops and more recently, hoop dance classes. I am proud to practice freeganism (dumpster diving) which embrace social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing.
I was raised on an organic vegetables farm and I am now working on a recipe book to promote healthy, local, organic products from our farm. It's wonderful for it allows me to get closer to my family after having been away travelling for so long (7years-ish). I love to have my friends over to taste my culinary creations and they seem to love it too!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been reading a lot in the last month. I have been mostly interested in Russian and Spanish political stuff, but also novels. Roman Gary, Tolsoy, Gomes Arcos, Marie Cardinal, Sartre, Daniel Guérin, Chomsky are some of the books I have recently read. Oh! and La fiancée américaine which is not as good as they say. I'm also half through the children of earth epic saga and still wondering if I like it. I read the newspapers a fair bit too.
I love cinema but am very critical. I'm not willing to watch everything, especially not what's coming from Hollywood. That said, some of their movies are also great, of course ;-)
