ABOUT ME

I like reaching into my pockets and feeling dirt crumbles; strange plants and people, eating fresh fruit, baking bread. I paint things sometimes. I play an alright fiddle and a mean piano. I can hold my own in the kitchen but really shine making vegan goodies from a half lifetime of Vegan living. I like animals, humans included. I enjoy poetry, reading and writing. I am teaching myself how to rap. I ride bikes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is great, always listen to music. Movies are better watched with friends or with a lover. Books are those magical things, like this: “ It was just her and Midas in here, tucked away from the world. Here she could turn quietly into glass, with only love to distract her." That's from a book called The Girl with the Glass Feet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every day I work with kids who say the most amazing things. Last week, one little boy spent his entire recess picking up trash. When I asked him why, he gave me a look of sheer exasperation and said "Well, Ms. Ari, obviously to make the world a better place."

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a bit on gardening and music-playin', I'd like to learn everything there is to know, but mostly I'd like to approach you as an equal and figure out everything from there.
