ABOUT ME

Hi : )
My name is Ariel. People often ask me how I like it pronounced - so it's Air-ee-elle. I grew up on the east coast of the US in a tiny little state called Connecticut and now have found home in Montana for the last four years. Oh it's really swell here - the wonderful land, the funky, heart-opening things Missoula has to offer...

I like going on hikes, being and listening in nature, learning the names of the native plants here, dancing- tis one of my favorite things!, listening to musica, eating local food, hearing other peoples' stories, trying to lean into my edge and challenge myself and at the same time remembering that it's okay to stop, you don't have to keep doing, it's okay to do nothing, we're all works of art just the way we are : )

If you're wanting to stay a bit in Missoula, I'd love to get to know you. So I'd prefer not to get requests that say they're just looking for a place to stay. Gracias!

Me llamo Ariel.

Gracias!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My first time surfing was when I was about to start my first year teaching English in Spain. And got hooked ever since, both surfing and hosting : ) I really like to try to get to know people while travelling. It's a really beautiful way to get to know a country, a community, a culture, and learn from each other and to give back. We gotta help each other out : )

Backpacking across Peru with one of my closest friends for about three weeks, meeting the most wonderful people along the way, riding packed combis, soaking in hot thermal baths after not having showered in days, trekking mountains, and eating tons of ceviche

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn the little things of where your from, origin stories-really interested in how things come to be, creative things, how to make some local food, new kinds of expression, new art forms, new languages, spiritualities...there's so much to learn : ) and enjoy sharing walks, making art together, conversation, silent pauses and meditation.

And as far as teaching goes, perhaps I can show you some blues dancing, it's a really warm, sensing kind of dance. Still very much learning too : )
