About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Earning the adjective "free-spirited" one cross-cultural blunder at a time.
ABOUT ME
Raised in the beautiful, eclectic, liberal oasis in the middle of an ocean of southern American conservatism - Austin, Texas. I couldn't stay away from the place and returned to live and work after college. Spectacular nightly live music, excellent food, exciting sights and activities, and warm-spirited people are all wonderful resources for a city to have, but in 2013, I decided to tear myself away from familiarity and do something radically different.
Now a backpacker-turned-expat-turned-nomad, I am learning to live spontaneously and fearlessly. It's scary, unnerving, liberating, confusing, thrilling, discouraging, and sometimes downright hilarious. Looking for others who can share this sentiment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While in Austin, I used to host and couchsurf with my boyfriend through his profile . We hosted a number of great couchsurfers from around the U.S. and were hosted within the country as well.
I was also hosted for a whole month when I first got to Vietnam in 2013. That opportunity really helped me get used to the city without feeling the urgency of finding a place to settle into right away. I now host regularly wherever I'm living and couchsurf myself when traveling.
Interests
Live music, social dancing, strong coffee, vegetarian food, international friends, vintage shopping, hot showers, jungle trekking, peaceful beaches, yoga and meditation practice, friendly locals, striking up games with children, attempting to break language and cultural barriers, learning to travel bravely, relentlessly exploring everywhere I go.

What I Can Share with Hosts
As a traveler, I like to stay open-minded so a host can introduce me to their home and area just as they live it. I'm certainly an independent traveler, but I love being a partner in adventures with a host who has time to explore with me. I am deeply appreciative of people who open their doors to me and am happy to return the favor at my home.
