HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Does this field pertain to Couch Surfing in particular or in general how I participate in life?
I participate by being a positive person who spreads light to people! I am a responsible citizen of the Earth and believe in living in the present moment. I guide children through learning and becoming responsible citizens of their lives and selves, as a Montessori teacher, I am actively engaged in the lives of children and families. I try to pay attention 'stay awake' and help where help is needed. I am very engaged with my world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch Surf was introduced to me by an old roommate who was setting off to travel Italy. We hosted some lovely people. It was incredible to make friends with people so easily we otherwise wouldn't have met! As I am getting ready to embark on my own journey (through South America)I have signed up for couch surf. I haven't yet been in the appropriate living situation to host folks but I am hoping that I can pay back my good karma after I return or as I'm out there if I find a nice place to open up to others, to be able to host, as well as be hosted.

Interests

Dance, music, samba, salsa, nature, flowers, gardens, simple natural living, small handicrafts ie. collage, jewelry making. I am an avid cook and 'foodie, good films, snail mail, working with kids, reading, many many other things...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most amazing things I have seen/done in my life was climbing a 90 ft narrow wrought iron tower in the middle of the Ecuadorian Amazon, reaching the top, scurrying through a tiny opening onto a wobbly little platform and having a 360 degree view of the canopy of the Amazon Jungle...that and surviving a near brush with death car accident...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a certified Montessori teacher and I know a lot about children/child development in addition. I know how to make jewelry (mostly wire wrapping, some soldering/metal working techniques), I am a master organizer and can help you organize your life ;) I can also teach you the samba, yoga and meditation ;)
I am interested in learning about farming/gardening, raising bees, history, really anything.
