Overview
About Me
Hello! My name is Arielle, or rel. I am queer, polyamorus, and pagan and open to talkign about all of that and more. I have a habit of wandering and seeing where my feet or my car take me. I first left the country when I was eight years old and since then I have lived in three countries and visited over 30.
I am currently enjoying living in the United States while not attending school, a combination that I haven't done in awhile! Even though I don’t currently have any grand travel plans I still have a few short trips happening over the next year, and I would love to meet more locals during them.
When I travel I like to invest my time and resources into understanding the complexity of a place and getting to know the community who live there. I don’t mind seeing some of the popular places but I would rather dig into the history culture then throw money at the flashy lights.
Hopefully I will get to meet you and spend some time in your neighborhood. I look forward to having you be part of my adventure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best adventures I have had involved meeting other travelers at hostels and staying with locals. Connecting with locals has always been an integral part of traveling for me, whether through Couchsurfing, Air B&B, or just meeting people out and about.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste range from indie to rock to EDM. Some of my favorite artist are Florence and the Machine, Bastille, Avicii, Walk The Moon, Anuna, Halestorm, Pentatonix, and Ed Sheeran. I’m trying to spend time learning and listening to music outside of my playlist algorithms and I would be interested to hear what you enjoy.
When it comes to books I am open to just about anything and I am always welcome to recommendations. I love mystery, fantasy, and coming-of-age stories. My favorite series is the The Kingkiller Chronicle and if you are a fellow fan then feel free to engage me in discussion.
I am not much of a geek but I have grown up surrounded by geeks. I have dabbled in D&D, manga and anime. I am part of the Society for Creative Anachronisms, a historical recreation group that spans the globe. I’ve been fortunate to attend events on the east coast, Mississippi, and in Sydney, Australia.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a cold winter night in northern Finland my friends and I went back and forth between a hot sauna and standing in the snow, watching the Northern Lights.

I am a fairly outgoing person and I am always interested in learning from others and also sharing my experiences. I can share my voice. Need help harmonizing or would like a first soprano for karaoke or just to sing songs off the radio?
